Renewal of Aircraft License Renewal of an aircraft radio license According to ICASA, the owner of any radio that is able to transmit on an aviation frequency, must have a valid aircraft radio license for the radio. The process to obtain the license does not appear straight-forward, but can be eased by a bit of planning. 1. Application form Step 1 is to obtain and complete the license application form. The application form can be downloaded from the ICASA website. (http://www.icasa.org.za/LegislationandRegulations/ApplicationForms/tabid/292/Default.aspx) 2. Payment The license application fee can be paid at directly at any post office, directly at any Nedbank branch of via an electronic transfer to the ICASA Nedbank bank account.
3. Submit Application The completed application together with the proof of payment can be submitted at any on the ICASA offices, or posted to ICASA, Private Bag X10002, Sandton, 2146.
